Cheetham Garam Indonesia (CGI), the salt industry leader in West Java, has received certification from PT. DQS Certification Indonesia. The DQS-UL Group is one of the leading certification institutes for management systems worldwide. The ISO 22000 is a new international set of standards designed to ensure safe food supply chains worldwide and is the first step in implementing the food safety management system.
The certificate was issued in April 2014 and presented at an award ceremony on 20 May 2014 and it was a great opportunity for CGI to show its appreciation to its employees at all levels for their hard work.
The award ceremony was held outdoors at CGI's office in Cilegon and attended by all management and employees of CGI as well our honored guests from Australia and Hong Kong. These included the board of directors of CK Life Science Hong Kong : Jerry Mo and Alan Yu and Cheetham Salt Ltd. Australia : Andrew Speed, Kathryn Munro, Peter Newton, David Saymour and Sarah Dalziel.
The event began with the special guests being taken on a personalized tour of CGI’s factory. This allowed them to take a close look at how CGI maintains the quality of its products at every stage of production. Once the tour concluded, all the guests gathered with CGI employees for the award ceremony.
The ceremony began with the president director of Cheetham Indonesia, Arthur Tanudjaja taking the opportunity to thank to all management and employees of CGI for all their concerted effort and hard work so that CGI could achieve ISO 22000 certification.
Then the CEO of Cheetham Salt Ltd., Andrew Speed, said a few words encouraging not only CGI management but also its employees to keep up the good work so that CGI would continue to produce the best quality salt products for the world.
Finally, the ISO 22000 certificate was presented by the Managing Director of DQS, Bambang P. Prianto to the President Director of CGI, Arthur Tanudjaja.
Ceremony concluded with an all- you –can –eat buffet lunch that was enjoyed by all.
